So here is a snippet about me so you can understand my drive and passion for reflexology and massage therapies! I am Claire Taylor, from Leeds, with two children. When I had my first child I was working in a multi-national company with a demanding role as a Team Manager. I was putting in long hours and often having to travel with my job. Whilst I loved the diversity of my role, during my maternity leave I started to look at what was really important to me. The answer was my family and working to help others, so I started to look for a change in career.
Over the months I researched many options to achieve this, but when I explored holistic therapies I realised that not only would I be able to achieve my dream of working for myself, but that it would also enable me to help others to cope and deal with life. So I trained as a Reflexologist and gained a diploma in Reflexology Massage. My view was to start my business as soon as my maternity leave had finished.
Unfortunately, the market and timing was wrong for me to make it my full time job at that time. So, with a heavy heart I went back to my role. I carried on giving treatments to my friends and family over the years to keep a hand in the practice.
Some years later, and after going through a redundancy in 2014, I decided that it was now or never to start my business full time and make my dream a reality. I updated my training to ensure that I could offer the best and latest treatments possible and then added to my qualifications by studying Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massage and Indian Head Massage in order to be able to offer a more diverse set of therapies to my clients.
